How AI Changed My Daily Routine

I was firmly in the "AI is overhyped" camp. Every tech company was slapping "AI-powered" on their products, and I was rolling my eyes.

Then a colleague showed me how she used AI to draft emails, summarise meetings, and plan her week. It was not magic. It was just... practical.

I started small. I used an AI tool to help me write a difficult email to a client. Instead of staring at a blank screen for 20 minutes, I had a draft in 2 minutes. I edited it, made it mine, and sent it.

Now AI helps me brainstorm blog ideas, organise my notes, translate messages for international colleagues, and even plan meals for the week.

The key is treating AI as a tool, not a replacement. It is incredibly good at first drafts and mundane tasks. It is terrible at originality, empathy, and nuance — the things that make us human.

Use AI for the grunt work. Save your brain for the creative stuff.
