You do not need a degree to launch a website. Here is a realistic 48-hour plan.
Day 1 — Build it (4–5 hours)
- Pick a goal — one page people can actually use (a portfolio, a simple landing page).
- Set up a builder — for beginners, a site builder beats coding from scratch. Write the content first, design second.
- Keep it simple — homepage + about + contact. Three pages is plenty.
Day 2 — Launch it (3–4 hours)
- Buy a domain — keep it short, ending in .com or a local ending like .com.au.
- Connect hosting — most builders include hosting in the plan. No extra setup needed.
- Make it easy to find — submit your site to Google Search Console, and write a short meta description.
The checklist
- Clear headline and what you offer
- One photo of the real you
- A way to contact you
- Works on a phone
Momentum beats perfection
A basic site online today beats a polished plan in a year. Launch small, learn, and improve as you go. That is exactly how every serious website started — including this one.
